The Best Surprise Proposal Locations in Utah

Selecting the right location is paramount in creating a memorable surprise proposal. Some opt for grandeur, choosing iconic spots like mountaintops, beaches, or famous landmarks. Others prefer intimacy, selecting locations that hold sentimental value, such as the place where they first met or a spot that witnessed a significant shared memory. Here are some of my favorite locations to propose in Utah.

Antelope Island State Park

Antelope Island, with its scenic landscapes, abundant wildlife, and historical significance, is a treasure trove for those seeking an immersive natural experience. Whether exploring its trails, observing wildlife, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the Great Salt Lake, Antelope Island offers a serene retreat. Please note that there will be bad bugs at Antelope Island April through July. I would avoid visiting during those months.

The Waterfall at Log Haven

Located up Millcreek Canyon. The Canyon stands as a testament to the diverse and captivating landscapes that Utah has to offer. Whether you're a hiker, skier, or someone seeking a peaceful escape, this canyon provides a haven for outdoor exploration. With its scenic trails, year-round activities, and commitment to conservation, Millcreek Canyon beckons all who appreciate the beauty and serenity of nature in its purest form. Enjoy a nice dinner at Log Haven following your proposal.

McPolin Farm (Park City, Utah)

Park City, with its enchanting Main Street, world-class ski resorts, year-round outdoor adventures, cultural richness, and friendly community vibe, weaves together a tapestry of charm that captivates visitors throughout the seasons. Whether you're seeking adrenaline-pumping activities, cultural exploration, or a leisurely stroll through history, Park City invites you to experience the allure of its mountainous embrace.

Big Cottonwood Canyon

A haven for outdoor enthusiasts, Big Cottonwood Canyon offers an array of activities catering to various interests and skill levels. Hiking trails wind through the canyon, leading to pristine alpine lakes, scenic overlooks, and challenging peaks. In the winter, the canyon transforms into a winter wonderland, drawing skiers and snowboarders to its renowned ski resorts, Brighton and Solitude. Backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, and ice climbing are also popular pursuits.

Surprise Proposal Utah Mountains

Little Dell Reservoir (Salt Lake City)

Originally constructed in the late 1800s, Little Dell Reservoir was created by damming the waters of Dell Creek, a tributary of the larger East Canyon Creek. The reservoir's primary purpose was to store water for culinary use and irrigation, catering to the growing needs of the surrounding region. Over the years, it has become an integral part of the local water supply infrastructure, ensuring a reliable source of water for residents and businesses alike. This spot has minimal crowds and remains a well-kept secret destination.
