Jordan Pines Campground
Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah
Travel Fee: $50
Please Note: Big Cottonwood Canyon gets extremely crowded Saturday and Sunday during the snow season. For this reason I do not travel to this location on Saturday or Sunday. It can become very difficult to find parking.
Located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, this site is also known as Donut Falls.
This location is at a higher altitude thus making it colder than down in the Salt Lake Valley.
Features include stunning mountain backdrops, towering pine trees, rugged rocks, picturesque meadows, a spacious open valley.
Winter: Jordan Pines Campground in winter is just as picturesque as in summer, but the higher altitudes can bring very cold temperatures. Be sure to dress warmly with insulated clothing and layer up for comfort. Snow boots are highly recommended for navigating the winter terrain.

Travel about 9 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon Road to reach Cardiff Fork (Mill D South Fork). Avoid driving all the way to the campground. Instead, park at the designated area near the Donut Falls trailhead, located just off Big Cottonwood Canyon Road. Look for the crosswalk equipped with a crossing light at this spot.
